I Was Good This Evening :)

I did my page for class and i started my garden journal, im so happy with. Its insanely cute. :)

 

This was my last monday night when i had to say goodbye my chilli plants! They were to engrossed with powdery mildew they were beyond saving, i managed to save the peppers so woo
 

 

 

This was my wonderful tuesday planting my wildflower seeds for the Plan Bee campaign

 

 

 this is prep for tomorrow! We are due rain all week unfortunately and i have vegetables to plant

I quite like this layout that I did for the 'Today Felt' prompt, its plain blue tissue paper, patterned tissue paper from a gift/toiletries box and mod podge.

The "I want page" is a paper collage, gesso and paint. With some deco tape and a sassafras heart. I wasnt to keen on it but im starting to come around to it but i love that picture of us taken at christmas time.

This is my three wishes page, Im not to happy with it, it seems very plain to me but Im too tired to change it! Im happy im caught up! Im really really loving this class :)

The Best Wednesday

i got back home yesterday to some packages and there was a parcel from my lovely new friend Becky (Inca). I was so excited by the pretty purple and red packaging I had to go find things purple and red and then i found the daisy. So i attempted to do some styling!! I loved how the were wrapped.. with wee notes attached with amazing little paper clips.

I was so overcome when i opened the packages i was so excited i didnt take any photos lol. I got cath kidston stationery, buttons, seeds! Lots of seeds! A beautiful card, a heart book, a magnet, the cutest little inspirational and motivational silver 'stone' that is staying in my handbag. it was so much! I took a photograph with my phone. I felt so spoiled and loved! Thank you!

Tell Your Story | A New Season | Prompt 1

I did the first prompt today! Woo!! I was at it alll afternoon. It was great, especially after spending my entire night last night cutting up my Cath Kidston catalogues. Hence the wonderful patterns!

My granny also arrived at my parents house today to visit me with a big vintage tin of buttons! And a massive bag of wool. I had the best time hoking through! I found some giant pennies, some french francs! A swedish kroener lol and some buttons to add onto my journal pages!! The pages can be seen on my flickr too :)

Sowing Seeds

So i spent a little time this afternoon sowing some Wildflower seeds from the Cooperatives Plan Bee campaign!

I got so excited earlier when i was planting these because i didnt realise how many wonderful flowers were included.

Cornflower,

field poppy,

red clover,

birdsfoot,

knapweed,

ragged robin, 

scabious,

chicory,

maliow,

white campion,

red campion,

crested dogstail,

wild marjoram,

and wild pansy! 

 

I will be SO EXCITED if even half of these grow!! ive got 3 packets, well 2 now, and 1 window box set up. Going to wait and see how these guys go before i plant the other two. I might wait and plant them in a space in the garden as they will 'self seed' to flower in future years which is always good news :)

Ive just got thursday and friday left. Everything I put in my journal here were from scraps I had in my crafty box, I started this mid organizing lol and just made a mess.

woooohooo class has started! Yesterday I did my bonus pages and made a cover because the classes started today and i was very excited.

Supplies and Tools | My 2009 Diary Pt 2

2009 Diary pt 2

This is the cover of my art journal 2009! My first official art journal i guess, I started this because i set myself a new years resolution to complete one in 2009! And i did it!! Woop!!

For the actual journal itself I used a standard A5 Sized Daler Rowney Cartridge Paper Sketch Book.. These are available in almost every art or stationery store in Britain.

 I like using Spiral Bound books because if you go crazy sticking in embellishments and things and the journal gets too big - you can always remove the spiral binding without ruining your pages. I replaced my binding with 3 38mm or 50mm Steel Binding Rings. You can buy these at your craft store for about 30p each? Or buy in bulk online. (you can pick these up pretty cheaply on ebay)

Using these craft rings also means you can add and remove different sized pages in the middle of your journal without damaging pages etc.

For the cover of this particular journal I used an Envelope I received some documents in. I took the front cover off the journal and put it in the envelope, poked the holes back in to replace the spiral binding :)

On the front of the cover I found the Ideas piece in a magazine,

the pink 09 was created using American Crafts Thickers  'Vera' Vinyl Alphabet Stickers 

and the felt embellishments are from K&Co - Peppermint Twist

The inside of the cover I used - 

a flower and a button to seal the envelope. (Prima Flowers below are what I have only in multi colours)

 

The name sticker is from Paperchase 

I made the Tag using Brown parcel tags - bought in bulk of about 50 from EBay,

 

American Crafts White Vinyl Alphabet stickers (Vera in White)

A bird rubber stamp,

a deco sticker saying 'Be Great' (PonyBrown)

 

and I used a 1" Circle Hole Punch for the white circle
