Party Supplies | Tea Party Loveliness!

I have been stocking up, or attempting to stock up on supplies for my approaching little birthday party... I am dying to get some Arizona iced tea but i cant seem to get it anybloodywhere!!! I am certain i have seen it before.. possibly in superdrug.... but i really want to buy some!! Ive also been on the hunt for Belvoir cordials which are only sold in certain places, so I got the elderflower cordial last week and it was the last flavour in the shop... I probably wont be in town again but it was to make peach and elderflower jelly... and then i wanted to drink some too :p

 I also just really want to photograph it!! Keep it around for when the weathers nice and set up a pretty photo shoot!! I will see if my mum can take me somewhere to look for the cordials in other flavours next time im home!

And of course I THRIFTED this cake stand for £3! Bargain!!

 And of course my Dynasty baking kit contents is on top for prettiness sake! I love the pattern on it! Such a bargain.. i was so pleased. I have another cake stand/etige at my parents house i must bring up to store cupcakes on in the lemony themed room... might buy some of those delicious white chocolate and lemon curd cupcakes from the coop. they are delicious, trust me. 

 Ive also been finding somewhere to display the red themed goodies i got sent from the giveaway at A Fabulous fete!! I love all of it!! I might make the kitchen themed red...and candy striped.. people go that way for drinks and to go out the back if smoking... so pretty all round.

 Who does not love stripey straws?! I also got RICE DK cleaning cloths (i thought they were napkins) but theyre too pretty to be cleaning cloths so i used them as a background lol. They came in turquoise and pink polka dot. Im dying to get back to avoca.ie store in belfast and get the Carousel candles RICE DK do. 

 are those not amazingly cute? 

I also got two melamine beakers ive been after for flippin ages!! I think im going to stock up 2 at a time so its not as painful to my finances. So far i have pink and turquoise.  

My Quilting Dream | Fabric Collecting

So last week i went a bit crazy and decided i really wanted to make my own patchwork quilt, i made doodles and designed 3 quilts to make!! I also went on ebay to buy lots of vintagey fabrics and i got some flippin bargains!!

Oraganising quilting fabric is such a pain in the ass!! Seriously! I feel like ive learnt a new language trying to get started. Ive watched SO many videos, bought loads of supplies and I still have to take a visit to the quilting shop down the road from my house, get some advice or help from an expert!! I might even ask my granny... but look...

How cute is this quilt going to look? I wanted these colours because they match my living room and I love the colour turquoise!! I have another design for a christmas quilt which is going to be all red and white shabby chic fabrics - as i said, getting them organised is a pain in the bum!! I think i need to spend a day cutting my squares and storing them in a special box. Think i might need to invest in some storage... Ive been keeping busy!!

Good job i can beg, borrow and steal when necessary!! The overlocker is sadly not mine, i harassed a family member!

30 Day Journal Challenge | Prompts 9 - 15

Im still terrible at updating... but here goes!! That fabulous background fabric is my duvet cover by the way :) I will update with a pic of that at some stage when the contents of my handbag isnt strewn across it!! This page is another one of those pages for people i admire.. using word lists :)

 This next page is a little information about all the random crap i like to collect!! Im gutted that the pages are so thin in this little book. I copped on though and started doing 1 page at a time instead of back to back doodles... but not until last weekend :p

Thrifty Love | Dumpling Dynasty Baking Tin

omgomgomg, i LOVE IT! ebay.. £4.. instead of the £15 it costs everywhere else. It was brand new and got a bit bashed in the post but i think it adds character :) I love it!! And perfect for a tea party me thinks :) 

 how do you like the background?! Also an ebay find :) Some vintage pillowcases! I'll explain about those later though.

True To You Class | Week 3

I know im a bit late but ive done it!! i finally finished and shot my week 3 layout!! The first picture here was the background i did following the technique homework! 

 I had to pick a noun and create a word list, so i went noseying and lists of Nouns and chose Woman... after a lot of deliberation!

 Her arms went a bit crazy and i wrote the dictionary definition in the figure. I quite like this one :) Looking forward to getting on week 4s class! Im sorry its taken so long! Now i have photos to take of my 30 day journal challenge! ive been keeping up just a bit slack on the shooting :)

I was browsing through flickr the other night and just bowled over by this beautiful house!! Im so inspired...

She created this using an easter egg box... I mean really! I want a tree like that going up my wall!

 This is part of her daughter Mollies room.. its so inspiring!! I would love my room to have looked like this when i was wee!!! 

The rest of her wee bedroom is just as adorable...

 I hope this lil un knows how lucky she is to live in a house like this!!

Its so cute she has her own wee art gallery on the wall!

 I think this would be a great room to grow up in! I think if i have kids they will have their own lil art space. I can live out all my childlike crafty fantasies through decorating! I Love it!

Party Inspiration | Birthday Tea Party Update

Ok so.. chugging along.. at the moment im making some pom pom decoration/garland for my living room.. and last week I threw half a yard of yellow gingham fabric on my coffee table to take some photos - and because it was incredibly pretty and hid the shelf mess it stayed!! Ninja keeps flying across the cloth and falling off the side which is comedy gold so its staying! BUT NOW... party decor?! I dont even know whos coming... unfortunately ive been finding it hard to keep up with friends because i cant really socialise and its difficult so it may only be a few people... with a bajillion cakes and 40 bajillion cups of tea. 

So... I dont know if im decorating two rooms becuase i want pretty things? I got white paper hanging lanterns off ebay.. they were white and pretties and can pretty much go anywhere.. the blue decor is still hanging up from Krons bday in may!! Sooo...

 In the dining room which has NO natural light... and light blue walls..... I was thinking of putting pink stripe fabric on the chimney wall (the table is in front) and using a white table cloth, i have a pink polka dot cardboard cupcake stand and it can be pinky and wonderful in there....AND pom poms obv... giant ones!! I need to buy more tissue paper i think :) I might make those this week.

BUT i have such a mixup of items and cups etc that everything will be slightly multicoloured focus on pink.... possibly.... oo I have a lantern!! I could keep the chimney wall as is and make pink garlandyness?

 

and then my living room with lots of natural light and bright blue walls with yellow gingham table cloth... I will have lovely decor....

I love it!!! AND i definitely have a white regency frame like that one!! currently watching a cake stand on ebay but i could just borrow my aunties. Although if i broke anything of my aunties she would murder me... thats a true story. Hopefully i will be able to get some fresh flowers from the florists at the bottom of the street also!

I also won that fabulous giveaway from a fabulous fete and have a red cupcake stand!! So lemons and berries could be the mini theme in the living room!! I also have red stripey straws.... which can be used with the elderflower punch and i will see if i can get yellow stripey ones. It depends where all the peoples will be sitting i guess. Even if its me and my bf getting phat il be happy in the decor lol

Im so excited!! i should probably start baking cupcakes and things and stocking up on wonderful accessories! Like bon bon jars!!

Home Comforts | My Multi Coloured Photo Clock

So its been a year... i must admit i lacked motivation to print little photos for this clock as they were a weird size... infact its been more than a year! But i finally did it... stock photos of numbers and my printer.... 

I think it looks good :) Ive been spending a lot of time updating photos on the wire and on my bedroom wall too. Its nice to get a fresh look about the house every so often!! Now i visited my bfs mums house im SHAMED into making my house look pretty again because hers is stunning. I didnt want to leave!

True To You Class | Week 2

Woo So week 2.. This is just the work in process!! I made this patchwork place for my lists and then totally ruined it with paint! I was gutted, one of the pages had to come out.. such a waste of pretty cuttings!

 Im glad i shot it before though! 

This is the lovely patchwork with paint, gesso and ink!

This next page is actually supposed to represent my bed... i have no headboard and my walls are that blue... and i have two bright pink pillows and a big square chartreuse green pillow... and then pattern was added.

This next one was me trying out watercolours and doodles.... dont know how i feel about it!

haha.. guess who went for an eyetest on thursday?! I have listed in all of these pages my gratefulness!

and then friday... trying something different with paint and white ink! I used a sakura pen... dont know how i feel about those either!! They arent as good as using white ink and a quill...

or a paint pen.

I have also added a page to hold my lil gratitude lists i made throughout the week but theyre scattered in my handbag at present!! I will def clear out and update :)
