Party Inspiration | Halloween Decoration

Who is getting excited about halloween?? Its almost one month away but I will admit... I started thinking about halloween at the start of the month - dont judge me.. it was the october issue of a magazine that got me thinking!! So I was looking up different party inspirations for a halloween table... last halloween it was all very thrown together in my house.. this year Im not sure I shall be the host but if theres a party at my bfs house there will be decor.... and this will be the inspiration...

Glam Halloween Party Inspiration

This Halloween party spread is amazing... That sparkly spiderweb pumpkin is so luscious! This spread was created by Kim at The TomKat Studio and photographed by Laura Winslow to showcase TomKat’s wonderful new Halloween Glam printables collection. I can’t get enough of the rich, vibrant fuschia-purple and lime green color scheme, and the printables and paper details are really inspiring!! I would be far too obvious and go for oranges but i am REALLY digging the purple this year. One giant piece of purple cotton would make a fantastic table cloth!! Quick! get me jars! Purple Sweets!! LETS GO PEOPLE!!

Ok class you ready?

This is a big one.... hopefully you have already read my post on "the importance of tagging images". As you already know there are several reasons why it's important.. the most notable being that people can find your photos when they search for a topic.

Dream Interiors | Making the House cozy for Autumn!

How do you do it? Ive been reading some articles and I'm making a plan!  Revolving around this palette...

My living room is closer to that light blue... Currently I have lots of summer colours - pinks and yellows...

I read through this guide on Womans Guide and the tips are...

"
1. Stack a couple of wood logs by the fireplace.   - i dont have a fireplace
2. Toss a chenille throw across the end of the sofa. - i already have a white throw
3. Display branches gathered from your backyard in a tall glass vase.- I can change my spring blooms!
4. Replace white and beige lampshades with deeper hues, like chocolate, bronze or gold-edged black. - in a turquoise room?
5. Place potted mums or other flowers in autumn leaf colors (think orange, red, amber) on the mantel or coffee table.   Yes!!
6. Put a basket full of squash, baby pumpkins, acorns and pinecones on the kitchen table. - not practical
7. Paint the insides of bookcases a warm shade of burnt sienna or moss green. - no! I love my white bookcases "

So... what do i do?

Change the cushions?
The pictures on the wall?
My embroidery hoops? And thats just the living room....

cozy up your home

(Photos: Woman’s Day magazine online)

This piece of art from Etsy is gorgeous! I love it!

Im thinking dark reds and oranges... ties in ok with the turquoise on my walls!

The Importance of Tagging Images

...especially for those who often feel uninspired!!

I have to let you all know that I have started this little article for everyone who uses Flickr, Pinterest, Deviant Art, stock photography sites, weheartit etc. On to the importance of tagging images...

When you are feeling uninspired do you reach to Flickr, Weheartit and Pinterest for inspiration? I certainly do. Now.. last week I was feeling very inspired by the colours and florals being used in wedding photography on sites such as once wed. The site I was searching on was PInterest.
I typed in "Wedding" and four images came up - I'm unsure if its an error that is currently with Pinterest; as when I search for 'pins' and hit the 'pins' tab - no furthur pins appear - nevertheless.. I found 4 images.

I then went on to the browsing peoples boards and I discovered this image -

Gorgeous yes?
