Christmas Cupcake Fun!

On boxing day we had family at our house and my wee cousin and myself decided to try out my brand new mini cupcake maker. 

We were let loose in the kitchen and havoc ensued!

When i was looking for vanilla extract in my parents kitchen i discovered red food colouring... so we had to have red cupcakes! if you are going to make anything why not make it colourful?!

I also got a little bit over excited after pouring in the food colouring and when i went to mix it it went everywhere. And the base of my slippers are forever stained. 


It was the most wonderful colour of red!! As you can see from my nose above :D

et voila!! We had a lot of fun and unfortunately they were all gone before i could get a lovely photograph of them :p

Christmas Dinner With Family!

This post is all about my fabulous christmas dinner last weekend! (Click on the lil image above for original source)

We were getting ready for the christmas dinner with our friends who are practically family :) 

Ive never seen snow like this in ireland before :) we got to minus 12 during the day! I loved it! Reminded me of prague. Only i was enjoying it from inside the house :p

 The view from my skylight!! I opened the window and i got lots of snow on the bed... i wasnt impressed. Right up the pillow end too.

This is my christmas dining table! I apologise for the lighting...it was the best I could do. Im all silver and white in there. 

Stupid headband made my ears poke out! And then the lightbulb blew :p

I really like this picture of us :) As naff as jumpers like this can be theyre amazing for keeping you warm!

A giant christmas dinner..

It was amazing, The turkey was the bottom layer :p and roasties under the cocktail sausages.

 A very good night all round!! Merry Christmas!

December Daily 2010 | Days 8 to 18

I cant believe its so close to christmas day!! This was posted the other day but i did a double post and i dont like doing that! twice in one day. So you are getting a full on december daily attack!! 


This i think is my fave layout so far - 

This is day 16.. keep on reading i do start at 8 :)


On the 8th my kitty wasnt herself. I spent my day working on my december daily album and she was acting very strangely... so she went to sleep in the living room on the hot water bottle with her favourite "fetch" toy. She never sleeps when that ball is around so I was very worried..

Later on that night she was a bit better. When i was getting into my Pjs I threw my tshirt on her and she could see through the fabric so she did some playing and ended up wearing it.  

On the thursday my dad brought me to Ikea and after dad and kitty fell asleep on the sofa! 

 

Then she helped me work on my dec daily album! It takes me forever to do pages - letting them dry etc :) I love doing it!

Day 10... I received a fab package from Lombok and had to go get a passport picture taken. I look like my mum!

Day 11 was a quiet day so to speak.. I waited and got a lift home with my dad and just rested up.

Day 12 - my dad and i went shopping and i stocked up on white hot chocolate and some fun crafty items!

Day 13 - i kept this very simple. My mum and I went to visit my grandads grave to lay a new christmas wreath and clean it up a bit.

Day 14 - DD passed his driving test!! woooOOO! but we are both very sick lol I LOVE this layout :)

Day 15 - My friend came to visit and I got myself a big bunch of lilies as part of my table decor for xmas

Day 16 - I just giftwrapped but i love this layout. Inks.. sewing machine elements and paper layering. My favourite

Day 17 - it has done nothing but snow and our party got cancelled.. so me n Ninja did some resting but i found out my friend was pregnant. Great news!!

Day 18 - More freakin gift wrapping!! Jeepers Ive got so many things for people!! Watched Mr Magoriums wonder emporium for the first time ever and i LOVED it!! This is just lots of layered paper and embellys!

Strumpets Crumpets Christmas Ornament Swap

Ive had lots of fun this christmas making items for people! I signed up to Beckys Ornament swap and got a fabulous partner named Courtney Mandarino. She sent me the most adorable ornament..

I freakin love penguins, not a lot of people know that, and neither did she so woo!!

I sent Courtney a crochet snowflake but Im not sure if she has received it yet but fingers crossed it arrives before christmas. And if you are a little bit excited about the raggedy lights shown below I created a guest post for my blog friend Katja and  there will be a tutorial up on her blog on the 23rd  -  i shall post and link up 

 

I just added some scrapbook paper and a little stamped message!

December Daily 2010 | Days 6 7 and 8 pt 1

I know I am behind with the posting and for that I apologise!! It is quite difficult to keep up with the usual december duties, photograph them, arty them, photograph them again, upload them and blog!! phoo!! So far im at the gift wrapping stage (in my daily december grind) and preparing for a christmas dinner with friends this weekend and our jumper party. Woo! I must take more dec daily pictures!

Day six is here... just two pictures of my bf playing with the cat at my parents house! I just got a lift home that day and made some potato and leek soup. One of those not very interesting days!

 

Decorating the tree! This page is definitely missing something I just dont know what yet!

 

 

I took this photograph the day after we did the tree. Im so pleased! i love how the page looks and the living room :)

Preparing for Christmas | My Living Room Deco

I had so much fun last week, although I was sick I was the artistic director and gave commands :p I had done all the little touches around the house pretty much since the start of December and it looked lovely but the tree was the big task that was put up last week and Im very happy. I dont do things by halves apparently!

I love my cushion!! its made of felt :) my mum got it for me last xmas. And I absolutely love my dala horse - up on the shelf :) 

Now forgive my very bad iPhone photograph but I have to share with you some of my Ikea purchases and my Lombok purchases and why i am so very happy with my dining room this xmas!

I have filled my shelves with battery operated tea lights to save any fire disasters! Ok so in ikea last week I bought that domed cake stand on the bottom shelf and the little jug beside it that has my knitting needles :) then the day after my Lombok purchases arrived!! those three glass silver baubles and two gorgeous vases i must photograph for you!!

December Daily 2010 | Days 4 and 5

Day 5 is a few pages - just a warning :p

How are you guys doing? Man its so difficult to keep up with this december daily art journal as i love to throw myself in and use paint.. and choose pictures.... it takes me forever!!

 On the 4th i was at my parents for the day and directed the putting up of the tree!

The 5th was a family party so lots of pictures from that :)

 

This is my fave so far and inspired by the fabulous Debee Campos!
