Staying Organized | Helpful Resources and Information

Organizing your home is such a challenge.. I am almost obsessed. I lie, not almost. Completely obsessed with trying to have a clean home. Im not sure how much use this will be to my lovely readers but I thought I would share some of my favourite resources ^_^ Helping with the need to be so clean and organised but being so incredibly unable too because of CFS.

I ordered this poster from Holstee ^_^ it's a fabulous motivator and reminder of what you should do with your life.

Ok these three things are my top favourites. Michael Nobbs has been an unbelievable amount of help to me; as a sufferer of CFS himself, for a lot longer... he's figured a few things out. His site isn't just for the CFS sufferer, it's about getting important things done in a simple amount of time.

Leo Babautas book 'The simple guide to a minimalist life' was one of the best purchases I ever made but that was after I read 'Clear your clutter with feng shui' by Karen Kingston. Being organised and clean is all well and good but I have a ridiculous amount of 'stuff'. So.. my plan is.. 5-15 minutes is about as much energy I can spare in one day for pretty much most things. For that 5-15 minutes I need a lot of rest.. slowly but surely though I am noticing a difference!

This is amazing ^_^ I love this piece of art!

And if anyone news to see some gorgeous cleaning inspiration....  perhaps for some motivation. Beautifully organised spaces always do the trick for me!

All links, fast references, ideas and advice on cleaning can be found on my pinterest board.

Surprised today wasn't a halloween post?! Lol, good luck with your halloween celebrations!

Hocus Focus | Halloween Party Inspiration

Ladies... cast your minds back to when you were young.... it's halloween... you're like.. 7?! Having a little party.. bobbing for apples from the kitchen basin and wearing a bin liner as a witches cape...
Kids today don't know how lucky they are to have such crazy creative mums!

How amazing would a potions table have been?! Seriously.. this is what I dreamt of while watching all those old VHS recorded episodes of sabrina the teenage witch halloween specials lol and Sister Sister.. oh lordy.

This outdoor set up is gorgeous. My parents have a chair quite like that in the living room, a little lighter in colour passed down from my nana. In fact I think we have two. The photoshoots I could set up! As I've mentioned before when posting these lovely party inspiration posts, I don't even want the party lol I just want pretty photographs.

oOo i love the details in this! A gargoyle. Where the heck....would I find one of those?! Id love a jar full of M&M's. The chocolate ones. Currently my cute jars are full of Yankee Votives.

That looks like cauliflower. Eugh. Those potion labels are fab.

mmMmm cupcakes. Yes please. That cake stand is quite special. Lace effect ceramic?

And outdoors..... look at that! Its fabulous. Source - Celebrationsathome (i found it on this blog but lost the direct link, if anyone finds it let me know so I can update the link!)

Halloween Party Decor 2011 | Table Settings and Garlands

Well! I almost forgot about it which is most unlike me! Halloween has ALWAYS been my favourite. I loved it, I remember overdosing on Sabrina the teenage witch, The Craft, Dracula Dead and Loving It and other such Halloweeny witchy type movies and tv shows. All halloween specials too because I LOVED the crazy decor!!

Love the wall!!

Alas, over the last year my illness/condition has worsened and I shall not be decorating or indeed celebrating much this year. Well, I say that but theres a chance I will go nuts on the 31st hanging black things. So far though I have no plans or motivation because Im too ill to party or do anything remotely decorative. It's taken me since march to do my living room lol. After all my talking about it. What amazing inspiration we have though!! I love the fact that white is in the image above.

I love the skull bowl! I tried to find little pumpkins so I could paint them white for my living room, for the harvest basically but I had no luck here in the UK. I love the table decor and all the pumpkins! Very traditional ^_^

This is very simple.. and effective! I like it

Are you guys decorating or hosting a party?! Show me your links below! I love to nosey

All of these are on my pinterest ^_^

Halloween DIY Projects | Ideas and Inspiration for Halloween Decor

Everyone loves a good halloween DIY tutorial! I love all of these. The paper cups are so easy and cute!! I think the mini evil pumpkins are my favourite though.

I think these evil pumpkins might be a martha stewart special but they are so flipping cute!! oOo I might have to watch Hocus Pocus to get me in the mood for halloween!

Christmas lights not being used to their full potential in all seasons?! These wee ghosty lights are so sweet. I think these would be acceptable 'not to scary' halloween decor for little ones.

Beautiful harvest style decor. I love the pumpkin.. what are these? The twig things I mean. Its not sisal, or sea grass.....

I love the candle stick. That looks like its handmade and very well made at that!

ooOo! Wrapped votives. Of course! I love candles at this time of year. They add extra light which is definitely necessary in my living room.

How fabulous is this skull cameo?! Another covered votive holder I think. If I could I would have my house like a haunted house set lol. I know every year there is a house somewhere in belfast that does their house up all crazy like a haunted house and people pay to go through it for charity. The son is in a coffin and everything and scares the bejesus out of people. I think its a children's cancer charity that its done for. A very good cause.

This is excellent!! A printed table runner.

haha! I love it! Reminds me of the dawn of the dead and those really effective 1970s graphics. lol

Printed treat bags and a free printable for the Kids halloween party! I think they would look excellent as little cushion covers too. Iron on transfers for your inkjet are necessary for that one!

ooO spooky potions! I have test tube things that came free in my bfs work but they have promotional writing on them. I think I would need some acid to get rid of it but they're all plastic too so I'm not too sure how well that would work.

oOooooooo I love them. Id have them all hanging from the ceiling ^_^

Haha.. If i brought these into my house I think my housemate would actually wet himself. And that's a mess I am not prepared to clean up lol. Every year I want to go crazy buying apocathery bottles and things.

I freakin LOVE this table! its amazing!!
again all of these are on pinterest!

Product Designs and Photography | Products from Bodie and Fou

I love it!!! I always send links as a wish list for items from here lol. AND the winter catalogue arrived in the post the other day. It is fabulous.

There are some fabulous moodboard type images on the bodie and fou website.. I fully recommend a wee nosey around and if you can afford to spend your money on products, I say - go crazy!

This table is so simple... and the collection of items on top just makes it so cute. I love the vases too with the typewriter on it ^_^

House Doktor... of course. Of course!! Who else could it be?! How beautiful is this heart lace print? They're available in different colours too. Shown below.

These are some wooden spools with ribbon and some beautiful votive and vases in floral ceramic. Gorgeous! All of it! I wish I had the money and could also justify any of these purchases.

Ive wanted one of these ceramic owl vases or candle stick holders for the longest time. I would feel terrible if his wee head got covered in wax! I love the whole set up here; not only for an image set up but as a living space it is gorgeous.  I would just sit and stare around all day!

Do I need to say anything about this image? Oh wait yes! The billy button pins! Gimie gimie gimie!

See? Cute huh? That wall light is insane. I really like it and I also love the colour on the wall. It's also like a light grey that compliments the picture too. Love it. Enjoy lovelies!
